I teach in Edenbridge at home, but may be able to travel to you if it fits into my schedule, and if that seems best.

I teach both adults and children from beginner level. Indeed by chatting to friends with regard to piano teaching; I feel that my intention is to bring the best out in the student; to encourage them to make their own music.

All students learn in their own way; we are all unique. Some like to read the music; some to memorise; some to learn chords and create; many other ways; like ‘washing up’ – we all do it differently! ?

I have found that students hear of me, recommended, by word of mouth.

Some students like to do exams; and indeed this can give a student something to aim for. I usually put students in for the Associated Board music exams.

I usually have a concert/party once a year. At present this is happening at the beginning of December. This gives students the opportunity to play to an audience, which builds up their confidence and performing skills. This means they perform better in an exam situation. It also means if they have to give a presentation at school, they are more able to do so confidently.
